The Iowa State Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP) is offering a self-paced continuing instruction course (CIC) option. This self-paced CIC allows you to complete the course requirement over a 7-day period (12/15/25 – 12/21/25), on your own time! This course option includes the same great content that you would get at a county office showing but allows you the flexibility to view and complete the requirements on your own from anywhere! This self-paced course is approved for Commercial CIC credit in the following categories: 3O, 3T, and 3OT.

This is a participation-based course. To complete this course, you are required to watch the provided video content, and then submit attendance verification codes in the course quizzes as proof of attendance.

This course will require you to use Canvas to complete the course. This is an online course management system. If you are not comfortable with using a computer, or taking an online class, PSEP encourages you to attend a county office showing, or one of our online live-stream programs.

You will have 7-days to complete the requirements of this course. This course section starts on 12/15/25 at 12:01 AM and will end on 12/21/2025 at 11:59 PM. All requirements of the course must be finished in that 7-day period to receive your certificate of completion. If you do not meet all the course requirements in that 7-day period, you will not receive a certificate of completion or a refund.

Each applicator will need to be registered individually for the Self-Paced CIC. Each applicator must complete the course for themselves during the course period. Multiple applicators cannot receive credit under one course registration.

This self-paced course is being offered on three different dates. Be sure you check the dates and sign up for the one that best fits your schedule to complete the requirements.
