This publication is the final report on the National Program for the Genetic Improvement of Feed Efficiency in Beef Cattle, a USDA integrated research and extension project that began in 2011 and ends in 2017. The objectives of the project were to develop and deliver genomic-based selection tools to the U.S. beef industry to enable genetic progress for feed efficiency. It combines four ISU Extension and Outreach fact sheets, as well as additional findings of the project.
